John is not building the car, remember? Look at my signature, or, go visit my web site pal. Ok, not a Ferrari nut that's fine. Joe what kind of price range are you looking at? Honestly, I sense you are looking at cars over $200K+ easily?

I did looke at your site. It looks great, it just doesn't say what your shooting for or what you hope to expect as far as numbers go. So do you have a goal?

As far as price range, I don't know. I'd like to stay under $100k. If I or you or anyone finds a used Aero (sscautos.com) I'd go for it.

I don't have any predictions for my car yet. And I'm not looking for a dyno queen or just a peak number too.

And you want to stay under $100K? I gave you an option with Viper making 900 BHP+ And that was with a lower cost package too for $80K? Or, why not go to Scott Gomes or JME, ship them your car, fix it, and go for more power. That's a thought?

"Take a look at this guy, he is very famous for doing heavy modifying to cars. You could go and buy a new Ford GT (or used oned) for about $140K, get his package for $35K, and have it put out 850 BHP +."

Rolex: try this one

it is now almost 1,100 at the wheels!!! Shooting for 1,500whp

Link no workie? Anyway Mr posting *****, what kind of car is it and the total cost? Joe is on a very, very tight budget. He just hired like 30 new 7-11 Strip Girls who are going to do car shows like Sema!

Crap!!

Well it is a Ford GT twin turbo. Guy lives in FL and the company that tuned it is in Jacksonville.

You can do a search on youtube or streetfire and watch a nice 20-30 min video on it.

Smartass. Instead you have a avatar (not avitar) of a tiny F16? Like that has "anything" at all to do with cars? You may as well put a goat up instead.

You're a posting *****, and I'm gonna follow your coat tails for a while. Just like Special Tool needs to break 600 RWHP by the end of the year, I want to break 2,000 posts and celebrate like you did!

That's the other option. Spend it finishing my car. Thing is, since I've done so much I thought there wouldn't be too much more to do. Now after being on the list here, I've learned a lot. Then I actually thought of the wildest ***** nuts things to do to it, one now being the tranny. So I could easily spend $100k on doing what I'd do. It's just that it would be a total custom car in a 951 shell and you know as well as I do Rob, this building a car thing can take a toll on you.

Joe. I told you my thoughts. Under the assumption that David is done "now" or doesn't want to get involved, send the car to one of the high end builders. You're not starting from scratch Joe, so where the hell do you think you need to invest $100K? You're nuts. You need a tranny, some up to date mods, some expert tuning, and you're car is at a new level, it's that simple. Anyway, that's what I would do if I were you, since you love it, and have invested so much into it in the past years. Call a few of these guys and explain to them what your goals are?

Maybe it's just me...

Why is a guy, with 1,172 posts, and one of the fastest 951's on the planet now looking at a $100k car while getting all this valuable avdice without paying his stink'n $18 to Rennlist...

Step up Joe.

Because he spent all of his cash on his car.

He'll finance the Ferrari.

Hey Rob, the viper did sound good. The Ford GT would need a ton of suspension work as I've seen the videos and that car was all over the place. David will be retiring but said he'd still do up my car. Thing is there are things I'm thinking that would make the car sick and it would take a ton of money. I just don't know.

ibkevin, good point, well said. I stepped up. 2 years. Just now
