If I get enough information and I do ok in the next few months out here I'll do something crazy but I need all the info and help I can get. Really like the sequential shift F1 paddle style transmissions. G50 is another route. Continue to chime in guys...

You might try calling Vision Motorsport, see if you can talk to Dewayne(Dwayne?) Dement. I know he has done some interesting stuff on trannies that have gone in some of the race cars.

Great, Dwayne and David(Powerhaus) had an issue with a supposedly stolen dyno a ways back. I've spoken with him a couple of times. It's not that he rubbed me the wrong way, it's that he seemed like it was a chore to talk to me.

Joe, Your best bet is a 968 6-spd with a LSD. The simplest solution and it works great.
You will need to solve the speedometer pickup issue (not in the 6-spd box).

he can be that way sometimes but as others have expressed here, so can David(powerhaus), but he isn't to you, as Dwayne wasn't to me when I bought Kokeln products early.
I think it might be worth a shot though, he has had some great stuff, it is high, we almost put one of his trannies in our track car but in the end, with not over 375 rwhp, we thought it was overkill; not to mention our budget was getting LOW, Low, low...

More recently, when I was approaching builders to do my new car, I did reach out to Vision, but not Dwain himself this time. I was told that Vision isn't getting involved in any more 968T or 944T project cars, as we've always seen in Excellence throughout the years. I was told they depleted their inventory and don't want to work with these older cars anymore. So Joe, if you do reach out to them, you may want to do it quick about a tranny. From the sound of it, I think they have very few used parts for sale. Whatever you see on their Kokeln web site is it, and that's just new parts, and not trannys too. They're done with our cars.
Here's Dwain's profile too. I've seen him race, he's fast.

Here is the spec sheet for the Flipper car too.

Yes the 968 has shorter gears, this what makes it so nice for the turbo. Who cares about 1st gear, are you drag racing? With the 6-spd your car will lose a bit of top speed, but will accelerate much better.
Rob, I know where "Flipper" lives now. You will be amazed at what price it exchanged hands, you can't build the engine for what it went for.
More and more people will be leaving the 944 market, sad but true.

I understand John, but right now, I'm really slippery through third gear as it is. If I upgrade, I can't imagine what's gonna happen. Hell, I may blame it on you as I'm looking seriously at your turbos. Anyway, I think it would be great if I get a relatively tall first through 60mph, then short up to fifth or sixth with an easy cruise speed but enough power to go over 200mph.

Joe, It sounds that you need custom gears. You can spec out whatever you want, it's just time and $.
How old are the tires on your car. Traction must be addressed with tires, suspensions and finally electronics. Do I see traction control is in your future?

Uh, no traction control. Aren't custome gears enough. I'm already trying to get rid of the clutch. If I go traction control, I might as well have someone else drive it for me too.
