Hey, let me know if you want me to keep that set of arms handy or ship a set back to you.

Wow...lots of questions.

Honestly I don't know the price - you'll need to talk to Dan re: pricing but it's nowhere close to $150.

No vibration at all- just a nice, crisp mechanical feel in the shifter.
I can't see how this would cause any other piece to wear abnormally since it will be properly greased.

Again...just a happy customer...

One question I have is does this shifter block increase shifting effort at all? I have the typical weltmeister short shifter, though it's getting a little old how much more force it takes to get it in gear. I'm pretty sure my syncros aren't going out, though I did notice a definite increase in required force immediately after upgrading. I too am on the quest for the "gated" shifter feel, though I just don't know if it's possible with shifter linkage as opposed to the shifter on a conventional rwd tranny design.

I didn't notice any increase in effort in shifting...I just felt that it got a lot tighter. It may be as close as we'll get to a 'gated' shifter feel on these cars.

I would suggest differently.

The Schnell item will be more precise in operation and also prove to be smoother and at the same time easier to lubricate over time.

Aluminium is soft and also corrodes quickly when in contact with steel forming an oxidised coat resulting in a white powder covered surface.

Spherical bearings are the way forward as I found when developing the headlight kit. When we manufactured the first prototype bar I used aluminium for the arms with a drilled hole through it as a cost saving exercise but in British rainy weather, this soon became stiff in operation to the point that it destroyed the clutch in the lift motor hence why in the end I designed the same system using Spherical bearings and a year on they are working fine and there is zero light shake compared to the original aluminium prototype design.

Just my experience of alloy with a bolt through it – I also own a Land Rover and the alloy always goes first on the body were it meets the steel chassis.

For everyone that is curious on the price for the hubs, I am waiting on our machinist to call back with the price for the quantity that is being made. If anyone has questions about these, please email me. Thank you.

Default How about this one?

It looks more complete. I don't know who makes it though.

That is how it is done. Now, we just need to find out who manufactures it, and get a group buy going.

Maybe we can get Crazy Eddie to set up the group buy? He has to have a few ounces of aggravation left to spare after the last two GB's. LOL Sorry Ed, you deserve sainthood by now.
