Default How do I test ABS sensors?

Hi,

My ABS warning light is on. The obvious place to start is with the sensors. Is there a procedure for testing them to determine the FUBAR candidate?

TIA

Lanny

Further to the above: I recently changed engines in my car and had the master cylinder out. Do I need to bleed the ABS system and, if so, how and where do you do it. The ABS warning light has been on since I swapped engines but was never on before. Also, I changed out all four calipers. C'mon guys...a little brain trust here and help a man out????

TIA,

Lanny

I've went thru this before. does the light come on as soon as your start the motor or after you start moving above 2mph, in the latter case use the below procedure.

Good luck

Thanks, Sysgen. The problem occurs after the car is moving slowly so it is a sensor. I really appreciate your input and help!!!

Yup, usually means that the computer is ok and t's only a sensor issue.
