Crap! Just got a boost leak.
I am getting, and jsut happened today, only about 8-10 psi. I assume a crack or split somewhere as boost is being made and then the leak gives way and only makes/holds 8-10 psi.
Also, it is really loud in regards to hearing the turbo spooling or the amount of air leaking. but if still making/holding about 10psi, it can't be that big/obvious a leak...????
Well, idle is fine so I am sure it is after the turbo and not a vac leak.
All hoses/boost lines are pretty much new.
Bigger turbo and Tial so that eliminates those issues.
Billet DV, but I guess I can check it also.
I will do a pressure test when I get home from work and hopefully will find it easy.

Pressurized the top side and everything looks fine.
Pulled the DV and all is well.
I am thinking it is exhaust side. Also it is very loud as I can here the leak or turbo really spooling.

Todd, check the rubber hose that connects the turbo to the intercooler pipe. I also pressurized my entire intake side (except for this hose) and couldn't find it. Your symptoms sound identical to mine and I had a huge tear in that hose. It is a difficult hose to see so use your hands to feel it and see if there is a tear. It may be worth pulling out as its only like a 15 minute job.
Good luck.

do you know anyone with a smoke tester. i had a bosst leak foreever and could not find it. Bought a smoke tester and it works really well. It will only go to 20 psi but if you are runnig less they are worth the money.

SHOULD THE FRONT SIDE/COLD SIDE OF MY TURBO BE LOOSE?????
I am thinking NOT. But before I blast the company that sold me this turbo (as a replacement for their ruebuilt turbo that blew to ****)
Anyone???
As I was checking the turbo to IC hose, I tugged and noticed the turbo was moving back and forth on the front/clode side.
Fixable??
If so, is this a turbo I should keep???
