handable AFR meters ? (innovate LM-1 with exhaust clamp)
Hi,
I'd like to get an handable AFR meter only to tune my engine (I don't want a permanent install) without installing a bung in my exhaust. I also want to be able to tune other engines than mine.
Any feedback about the innovate LM-1 unit with the Innovate exhaust clamp ?
Is there any accuracy problem in using an exhaust clamp ? (my car isn't cat-equipped so threre's no problem with the cat-converter)
I did a search and can't find many threads about using such a clamp.
TIA.

The LM1 works great.. It even has onboard data logging....

I've had some issues with mine. It works for about 1/2 an hour and then gives an error code. The sensor was brand new and should be ok. I may have to try another sensor. It was being used on an RX7 if that makes any difference.

I use a LM-1 with the Innovate exhaust clamp when tuning other's (no, not from Lost) cars.
Just make sure the attach it REALLY tight and not just regular finger tight. Otherwise you get very strange readings after a while and that is solely because the clamp is hanging by the cable in the free air and knocking itself out against the road...
