Default boost issue

Hi, I just got a '86 951 a month ago and love it! I also have a '85 944 in ultra rare color, guard red. I have been a lurker on this board for over five years. I have learned so much from this board. I have an issue with my boost. when I "get on it" the boost gauge shows that I'm getting about 12.5 psi but I'm not feeling any surge from the turbo. It's like I'm driving a N/A 944. The 951 is stock except for cat deleted and magnaflow exhaust. Prior to this I had a vacuum leak that caused overboost but i replaced the vacuum lines. If anybody has experienced anything similar to this any info would be helpful. FYI I have used the search and went over at least 500 threads! TIA

I tracked down the culprit. It was a tiny broken hose between the y fitting at manifold and fuel dampener. From there the hose leads to the blow off valve. I have boost now!!!

Hope this will help someone who has similar issue.

I learned that a long time ago! It makes it all worthwhile when you experience the boost. Now I have another issue...I'm addicted to boost. It won't be too long before I upgrade my 951.

I know there are a few rennlisters here in the pacific northwestern area. Give me a shout out and prehap we can get together for a pizza/coast run.

I'm in Southern Oregon. Near Medford. Probably around 5 hours from you.
