I have a 86 951, will a instrument cluster from a 1988 work.

If anyone have a instrument cluster for a 86 modell ( in km/h), I want too buy one.

It should as long as the speedo are the same.
But I will let someone who has done it chime in.

It is the same size, but there is some small different in the eletric wiring diagram.

Yes - you can use any up to and including the 968..

Are you sure the speedometer from the 968 will work on a 944. Dosnt the 968 take the signal from the ABS.

Hmmm, I have a 968 cluster I just put in my 87 951, Speedo does not work. Not saying it is the cluster's fault, but it is strange

You have another problem.
Probably sender contact or nylon gear.
The DME interprets from both drive types and outputs the same signal.

There are a couple videos on the web of my Euro 968 cluster in operation in my car.
