Smog in Las Vegas?
Question to the Las Vegas listers: Is Las Vegas a smog check state?
I have a sister-in law that lives in Las Vegas and was thinking about registering my 951 with her address.

No rolling dyno. If you need help passing, most guys will "help" you pass with a little incentive. I one had to use a 20 to pass. Passed with flying colors too. That was years ago with a cat. Now, without a cat, I pass every time. Crazy. Oh, they don't check for cats either. Just sniff and go.

Yes, I triple agree with what was said above, no rollers. They do (or did, it's been 5 years since I moved) an idle and something like a 3k rpm test. Also they do check under the hood for things like smog pumps (not an issue with our cars, I know). I had a garage queen '80SC with headers no cat and a REAL loud sport muffler. I never had an issue in 10 years. Can't remember if they check to make sure the gas filler neck hasn't been tampered with but that's it.
I would suggest just going to a test only station, they are usually cheaper and less of a chance of them failing you 'cause they want to do some work on your car.
