try to move it forward and back and in little increments to the left or right. it's probably grabbing two shift selectors at once. you gotta inch it back into neutral position.

If it's a specific gear, it may be the synchro - which is an inexpensive part but not fun to replace. Are all the other gears fine?

 

Get the car on a strait stretch of road, get it moving and jab the throttle so it lurches, and push like a mother on the shifter until it goes loose. I had to do this the other day with a 4-speed roadrunner.

ANd why not transplant al;l the parts over to a new 951 instead of getting half what you paid then buying them all over agian?...actualy nevermind.....how much for the MAF and PowerPerfect?

It does seem like there are a ton of these being parted out... I can only imagine how much you'd lose if you sold all the parts.
