Default Ohm for fuel level sender?

Hi guys,
I'm purchasing an Autometer fuel level gauge but need to know the ohm rating for the fuel level sender on a 89 951. Does anyone have this information? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link Jussii. The closest matching ohm the vendor has is 73/10 ohm for empty/full as to 63/3 ohm idicated by clarks gararge. The vendor claimed it should work fine but does anyone has other opinions? Will it give me accurate readings? thanks.

I think you could adjust the 'reserve' reading to be more accurate with a resistor connected in parallel to your gauge, it would have minimal effect on full reading though.

With 470 ohm resistor in parallel you would get 63.18/9.79 readings on the gauge.

This comes from formula 1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/R

Why not put a 7 ohm resister in series? That would give 70/3.

Doh, did I think those values backwards...

With 7 ohm you would get 70/10

Should be close enough.

I'll try methods suggested. Thanks.
