This is for you guys who have a Lindsey manual Boost Control valve installed ... in the passenger compartment. Is it normal or there to be a pronounced hiss type noise from the MBC when the car comes on boost? Clearly, the valve is venting pressure in the line to control the wastegate (very well, I might add...), but the noise might get a bit old after a while.

no, there are two little allen key screws that go into the sides of the boost controller.. make sure they are tight and have teflon tape or some thing on the threads .

 

you may have the lines crossed.....try switching them.........

 

I did install the 2 caps to seal the unused ports, with some sealant to make sure they were well sealed so thats not the problem. I'll try switching the hoses, though I'm pretty sure I followed the plumbing instructions closely.

I never touched those allen bolts, and i don't recall hearing any noise from the MBC

 

Take it apart, dude. I have one and it doesn't make a peep up to 30 psi.

 

Mine makes a hissing noise too ,do you guys get a 2psi boost spike with yours?

 

No spike - I have 100's of logs to show.
It stays within .3 psi consistantly.

Make sure it is installed correctly - you need everything PERFECT on a 951 to make any power - they are very finicky.
