What is the pin # for the input signal to the DME/KLR for Air Temp?

Thanks

From this diagram:

http://www.motronic944.com/latewiring.htm

it looks like pin #22

That's DME pin #22

Just curious, is that measuring ambient air temp or intake air temp? Anyone know where the sensor is?

From the diagram it looks like part of the AFM. I would venture to say intake air temp.

That makes sense, much more pertinent information for the DME than what the weather is. Reason I asked was that I'm in the process of installing the 968 outside temp display, which uses a sensor in the passenger mirror. If there was already one that I could tap into, that would simplify things.

If you look inside the AFM you'll see a little plasitc tip protruding into the air path, that's the sensor.

It'd be especially hard to do now that I have a MAF, LOL.
