Default 16v progess pictures

Since some of you guys expressed interest in seeing how things are going with the 3.1 liter 16v engine – here it is.
I am waiting on the intake manifold and then I can get it ready for the engine dyno.

Now for the group input – take a look a the valve cover, I polished some of the cover and I am wondering if I should leave it with the cast finish in the center or powder coat that part. I can do it in black, mat silver or just about anything. Comments??

Engine Particulars
3.1 Sleeved (Darton MID)
Coated Bearings
IJ windage tray
Pauter rods
GT35R turbo
SFR headers
Twin gear drive
Tec3 powered
SFR intake (soon)

Man that's beautiful. I'd be afraid to get it dirty. You prolly have more in that motor than I do in all the cars I own.

Excellent.

Very sweet, I personally like the factory finish combined with the polished. Very Slick indeed.

Oh my. Next time could you please post a "you may get a messy keyboard for looking" warning.

I think polished with a satin center would look good.

That is absolutely amazing looking, I am very impressed! I like the look of the valve cover like it is, however if you really wanted to do anything maybe just powercoat the cast finish part and leave the polished area.

what has it cost you to get the motor to that point? and what engine management are you going to be running?

Chris,

I am in the process of starting on my engine, and was curious where you got your cam gears from? You can PM me, or just reply here.

Thanks,

Wes

Missing an a/c delete bracket bolt. Not sure if you knew or not.

Nice work. I might be getting with you next season to do a sleeve job on my race car.

Beautiful!
What cams do you run, re-grinded exhaust cams? Does Milledge have cams for 16v turbo?

S2 head?

What are the specs on the SFR intake, is it the same as can be found on their website?
Medium-short runners with bigger volume plenum?

What a/r on the GT35R?

Let's have a public guessing contest of the power output after the engine dyno, should be fun!

Yeah can you tell us anymore of the specifics on the engine? I was wondering if it was an S2 head etc.. and the valve cover looks a lot different.
