Valve dents on pistons
Does valve dents on the pistons affect funtionality?

Technically if there are sharp edges these will cause hotspots on the pistons and encourage preignition and detonation. On an otherwise stock car it is probably no big deal. But, since the pistons are out, you might as well smoothe the edges down with sandpaper to eliminate the risk. I have repaired many timing belt failures this way with success.
Change is compression ratio is negligible obviously.

Thanks a lot Mark, I will use the sand paper to smooth the edges.

Luis, I've seen worse and did just as Mark suggested. We used a dremel to remove the edges, as these actually had some metal sticking out like the pistons made several good hits.
