Condition is a lot more important than miles on a 20 year old car. Before asking the question I thought the asking price was north of $30k.

Have a look at what a perfect or close to perfect 951 is really worth. If it really is in good condition with new belts, tires, close to perfect paint, very good interior 15k is very little money. A 7k car can easily cost more than 8k to bring up to that condition.

ok...ok...ok...im the owner of the pearl white that stephen is talking about. sorry about asking 'too' much and, no, im not on crack. i do love the car and it is extremely well taken care of, by others long before me, but i did my part. all of you, stephen and others, are helping to set me straight re the car...and you 'forced' me to join the list. what a great community.

Welcome to Rennlist!
Ronald, pearl white 951's are definitely rare and beautiful to look at -- especially if it is in prestine condition. I'm sure you'll be able to attract a buyer willing to pay "high" -- whatever "high" might be. Definitely so if the paint is in perfect condition (pearl metallic paint tends to be expensive to maintain). Good luck with you sale -- but better yet, why not keep the car?

ok y'all, here is the dill, pickles: the paint is outstanding, i think because all of us who have had this beauty have garaged her and/or covered her. then there is this problem: it is so fun to drive but i dont want to get it dirty or wet that i only take her out when it is not raining and not hot...and that is contrary to how much fun this car is.
why not keep her: you guys are giving me seconds thoughts. on the other hand i want to turn over the vulcan 1500 for the R1200RT yet this heretofor unknown community (to me at least) does make owning her fun and educational.
what a quandry.....
