Default Tried some C16 today

Well I tried some C-16 today it costs about 9.00 a gallon or more , I have been running cam 2 110 leaded I can get it at a local pump an its 4.50 a gallon.I didnt notice any seat of the pants diff an I ran both fuels at 20 psi.The AFR stayed within 2 or 3 tenths of where the cam 2 was.I will go to the dyno I guess next week an compare.

i doubt you'd see a difference in power if you ran the same amount of boost with the same setup. both should have a high enough octane to prevent detonation at that level.

You would need to adjust the timing to really benifit from high octane fuels.

C-16 stoimetric is 12:1, not 14.7:1 like pump gas. So you were running way to lean with a high ehough octane that you did not blow up you engine because you ran such low boost for that gas.

I was running about 11.9:1 on the c-16 @ 20psi an 11.5:1 on the cam 2 110 leaded @20psi.

So what would be a good AFR w/c16? What's considered rich while running c16?

Means your car is well tuned. If you noticed a difference that would mean you were running retard and the higher octane let the computer bring back in some timing.

The only way to see a difference with different gas/octane is if that fuel has a higher kilo calorie potential.

This fuel actually burns slower. More completely, but Slower. Sooo. No. No power improvement. maybe even less power. mis-firing. (Like when timing is too retarded, because it sometimes is for this fuel) But. It ENABLEs you to inrease the boost or timing or whatever, for more power. That's how it works. It will not give you more power on a tune that was intended for lesser octane. just for comparison.. Methanol likes to be around 4-5 on the ole' Wide band.
