Of the two coming from under the intake manifold, one comes from the air oil separator and the other is from the idle control valve.

I'm running one line from the Oil / Air Seperator into the catch can, and one from the catch can into the intake pipe after the air cleaner and before the turbo.

That should be OK right ?

So what are the upsides/downsides to using a catch can?

No oil vapors in the intake to get into the combustion chamber and bugger things up, a proper setup keeps at least some vacuum on the crankcase which is good, no mess in the pipes.

Downsides are mounting it and more hoses, and its one more thing that has to be drained and checked but otherwise nothing.

No thats just what mine is. A line goes from the AOS under the intake to the catch can. From the catch can a line goes to that port on the J-Boot. The loose line is just my replacement for the stock idle control valve hose, it has nothing to do with the catch can.

That was one if my questions, how do you empty the Greddy cans ?
I think that the unit for sale on Ebay has rather small passages /tubes compared to the greddy unit. would it not be a little restrictive?

So the catch can gets the oil/blow by before it can get into the IC/intake?
