Hi guys, I had just finished detailing my engine and could here something going on, I believe it is the turbo electric water pump, I know it is supposed to stay on after the car shuts off, but mine keeps going. So for tonight I unplugged it .Any idea why its doing this?
Thanks
Denis

What do mean by detailing?. Did you hose down the engine with water?. Some guys have done that and created a short on the electrical connection to either the temp sensor or the pump itself.
Another possibility is that the turbop water pump relay is going bad. If so a new relay is quite expensive (ask me how I know!).

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I have the same issue when I hose down the engine. I just unplug it, until it dries out, then it's fine. If anyone does find what exactly is causing the short though, I'd like to know.
