Arrow Muffler recommendations for custom exhaust

I'm going to have a local shop fabricate a custom SS 3" cat back. I'm getting a baffled, cut and rolled tip but haven't decided on the muffler.

Looking for light weight, not too loud, and low pitch to take away some of the 4 cyl. raspyness. What do the listers recommend?

Yeah I just saw that after it got bumped next to mine. My question is a little more specific though. Not looking for a complete system. Just a single component. His thread also didn't seem to address weight.

I use a DynaMax UltraFlow 3" muffler on my turbo and the sound is low at idle, and it has a melodic growl at upper rpm's. I have no catalytic conv either so I am sure that helps. To be honest I prefer the sound of my B&B on my 84' NA but the turbocharger itself does cut down on the sound a fair amount. Although, the Callaway does have more interior resonance but it allows you to hear the deep rumble at cruise which I like! ZERO raspiness too!

That a close one. Whereas the B&B muffler is longer the SS sleeve that embodies the mesh core and fiberglass wrap is of a thinner guage then the Dynamax which is shorter but uses a thicker guage metal. The B&B has its own tip already with the muffler where the Dynamax leaves you the option for tips. I would say the Dynamax by itself in 3" config oval style is ~6-7lbs and the B&B with tip is around 7-8lbs. Keep in mind the B&B for the 951 is only 2.5" Inlet with a 4" elpitcial tip. And I am not sure if you can get a B&B muffler with out getting the rest of the 2.5" SS catback pipe as well. I have the full 951 catback on my NA.

This would be similar to the stock muffler correct? Who makes them?

local muffler shop supplier, http://www.themufflerman.com.au/
not sure what brand it is, doesn't have any markings i can see, locally manufactured i think anyhow. I was so happy to get rid of the flowmaster peice of junk that came with the lindsey exhaust.

flowmaster = bad on a turbo car.

I would suggest something straight thru. I like my Dynomax Magnum Bullet Muffler. I'm not sure how loud it is w/o a cat.. but with one its not to bad. I'm installing the Cat bypass tues so i'll let you know then.
