You mean the SS v-band housing? Those are sweet! Excellent choice.

Hosrom, the T3/T4R center sections do require a restrictor. With either those or the GT series, technically you're supposed to restrict flow to try and keep it to not much more than 40psi oil pressure. Much more than that and you can run into "over oiling" issues and oil forcing past the seals, plus a smoky turbo as a result.

With an idle of 3 bar (43psi) when warm, and nearly 5 bar (72psi) over 1,600 all the way to red line, give or take with the 951.

Well, I've had a few friends that have pushed 50-60psi on GT series DBB center sections, so I'm sure 40psi is a bit conservative as most of Garrett's numbers usually are. For some cars it's not abnormal to see 80-100psi of oil pressure, which would definitely cause a problem. I'd try to find a restrictor to keep it under 70psi or preferably under 60psi on Garrett DBB center sections to be safe.

his avatar is showing the new TiAL ss turbine housings. They are supposedly lighter than the regular ones and the inlet and outlet are designed like a velocty stack. Pretty cool but I havnt seen any data on them yet since they are new besides the weight savings

Yup, these are the same turbo's used on the Mazda speed ALMS p2 car. They are awsome.

TRP951, I will have data very soon. It won't be real helpful around here because the turbo is pretty large(ST large) but it will be fun to see.
