Default Intake Manifold Problem

My 951 idles a little eratic and I'm getting some backfire. I replaced all the old ignition wires plugs etc... While checking my vacuum lines I discovered that one of tubes connected to the intake manifold broke. . . I think. Is this supposed to come out like this? If not is it repairable? Help!

I believe they are glued in place from the factory. It's a pretty horrible design IMO. You could try JB weld or maybe something like Loctite.
