Default Cat plugged

Well I finally got around to pulling the cat pipe off today and my worse fear was confirmed. The catalytic convertor is plugged solid! I even tried to break it apart but it just kind of compacts instead of breaking into clumps.
Can't wait to get the turbo back now and see how much faster the turbo spools with out all of the back pressure.

How did it run at all? I guess you'll see a performance gain..

Might want to figure out what caused it to become what it is.

I already know what caused it as I am sure it was caused by all the oil the turbo dumped down the exhaust.

No leaded gas that I know of. Car was only driven about 700 milkes with the new turbo as it had an oil seal problem. I expected that the cat was plugged after I pulled the turbo off and found a severe build up of coke in the hot housing. I am just surprised that the small cat for the wastegate dump was so bad. The whole center of it was plugged compltely solid! Only the outer 1/4 inch or would pass air when I pressurized the pipe.

Sorry but the digital camera does not take pictures vert well down a 2 1/2 inch tube that has no light in it. If I have the time over the next couple of days I might split the cat but right now I have to many things on my plate.
