G-Tech HP Questions

G-Tech HP Questions
Just tried out my G-Tech with my 90 S2 but got strange HP results. I made 5 runs and got 122- 136 HP. I expected much higher as the car is not stock. After the first three runs I turned it off and started from scratch again. Is there that much difference between flywheel and rear wheel HP? I thought it was around 15%. Does this mean my car needs help, it seems to be running fine? Any suggestions?

No, the G tech has to be dead set with the accurate weight, in the perfect alignment and such.
Also, I noticed if it is not a hard or smooth accel, it will screw up the results.

The weight was exact, I just had it measured. I did not see any mention of a speed setting. The highway I used had that strip on the side of the road to wake you up so when I came back on the highway it was anything but smooth. I'll look for a better spot and try again.

You also have to do the H/P runs correctly.
I had very good, repeatable results with mine.
1. input all the correct data as per above.
2. find a long, straight and flat road...as smooth as you can find.
3. low to little wind.
4. full stop, start the Gtech run.
5. accel 1/2 throttle in first, smooth shift about 3500 rpm to 2nd.
smooth shift at 3500rpm to third then FLOOR it.
keep the throttle pinned to redline then shift to 4th and slow down .
This provided the best results for HP runs.
