Default Torsion Tube Sway Bar

If one were running coilovers in the back it would seem possible to run a long torsion bar straight through the torsion tube for a sway bar. It would probably be a pain in the *** to open up the center of the tube, but I thought it might be an interesting topic.

That would be interesting. it would make for a more durable setup.and maybe some weight savings too.

The only thing I wonder is how to adjusted?.........maybe in the same way that is use to index them.

Regards,
AL

Great idea.

It could be done for sure if you could get the right sway bar made with the proper splines.

Tony,

The circle track guys get the custom sway bars made all the time. I think the 44 spline torsion bar is used on V.W.'s, so it should not be that uncommon. Sway-A-Way could probably do it. You you need to dial the rate in on the first shot.
