It can certianly be fixed. But what is more important is where did all the material from your impeller go? Trace the charge air path, inter cooler>intake manifold>head. If you find pieces in the head, purge your vaccuum lines. Look at the recirc side, waste gate>boost controller. If your crankcase pressures are off due to bad seals, they may have made it into the crankcase.

Look at how much material has been displaced (quick-large chunks, slow-far reaching slivers), and start at the intercooler. Hopefully, it "filtered" most of it.

FOD or DOD damage on a turbo car is typically not a cheap fix.

The turbo was replaced already no damage the particles were too small, everything checked out intercooler is clean car boost and has power like it should. I was going to toss it when I saw the thread about rebuilding turbos and upgrading to a k27/6 that caught my attention.

What's the best source for a new or rebuilt wastegate..

Need more power.....boost is contagious

Best wastegate around is the Tial 38mm, it runs you about $ 315.00 from my swiss another rennlister, the tial is not easy to install and may require welding, also good is the deltagate from Lindsey racing, which is a straigh replacement but it does cost $ 399.00 and requires a core exchange. For a much cheaper and easier alternative you can try shimming the wastegate like the following example;

SHAMELESS PLUG: I have a Lindsey DP wastegate, brand new never installed (still in lindsey packing) I will ship to lower 48 for 400.00 , no core.

So did mine. Norm, do you have the one piece cross over tube?

IMO, the Tial works fine and in this case you'd save $85.. HAHA.. un jack that, O!

87 I think it's a 2 piece crossover and the wastegate is shimmed.

The 38MM tial from My swiss bolts right up easily with the adaptor plates. I have a 46mm tial which required welding the WG dump pipe with the right flange. The Lindsey unit isn't a "deltagate" but a modified stock unit. Personally the deltagate and racegate blows compared to a Tial.

WTH? that's one of my auctions. The lart951 wastegates are guarantee to out perform the competition, many years of R & D were needed to produce this high level of technology.

Yeah, Porsche's R&D money.. Luis, I'm sure this "security breech" will not topple Lart Industries global domination.
