Went for a ride last night to show some of the young guns that work with me that my old porsche will run with there WRX and 350Z with nitrous. We went to our local road were no cops are and did some 1st gear roll ons since i dont like to lanch because dont want to waste the clutch. Any way i pulled about 5 cars by 3 gear on both cars. After that the wrx(suppose to have 400hp) started to fade and the Z with nitrous stayed about 5 cars up to 140. I was happy with the results.
Some of the guys said i was shooting flames out my exhaust. I have stock exhaust except for no cat and performance muffler. My car is modified. I have K27/6 , 55lbs injectors, LR waste gate, Greedy profec b, vitesse MAF. I also have the SMT-6 but did not tune yet. I ran 17lbs boost.

My brother wanted to race me with his 200SX (1.8 Turbo). I did not wanted to burn my clutch so I started easy. While shifting to third there was a flame of almost a meter (!) comming from my exhaust. My other brother was filming it with his phone. He did not get the full flame because of the a-pillar.

A fellow track rat (we both have silver rose cars) and I have flame contests at the track, ie, who draws the longest flame for the event.
The mechanical system has dreaded inertia and the electrical system does not; cpu shuts off from WOT before the fuel pump spools down.

The fuel pump is electric and runs at a set voltage, fueling is reduced by about 25 PSI when you let off the throttle. The flame is from the bypass or BOV rerouting metered air causing the engine to run overly rich for a second.
