Problem cranking 88 turbo S
Just replaced the turbo with a k27/8. Also replaced the DME chip with a GURU chip which I have had for quite a while. The car is not getting spark. I tried a N/A 944 DME in the car and it cranked fine. I am going to try my old Chip in the car and see if the chip is the problem before buying a complete new DME box. However the fact that a N/A DME cranked the car confused me a bit.
Does the chip control the spark on our turbo's or is it something hardwired on the DME box?
I have a k26/6 chip and a k26/8 chip. I plan to turn down the boost and try the k26/8 chip. However if the one I have for a k27/8 is bad I will need to buy one to match my turbo? Who sells those now?
