Default GREDDY BOV

Does anybody have any information on the GReddy Type S BOV (the PURPLE one )? It came with the car, HONEST!, and causes it to load up on decel and stall. I cannot find any literature about it, but would like to try and make it work.

FWIW, it is really loud when it vents, but I dont know how long the transition from cool to annoying will take. It is a challenge to keep it quiet, and also saves gas in the process.

But, why purple? WHY?

Thanks in advance!

Just curious, but should you be able to hear the stock diverter valve when shifting?
I've never heard mine, even when it was on the dyno.

Did you work out some anti-lag or is there some trick to making boost under no load that I don't know about?

Oh, and PS.... no, you can't dump the stock DV. It's an open system at idle, so the car won't run unless you blip the throttle.

If it's building boost with no load on the engine, something is screwed up.

Well... I'm not sure if that's how they did it... but I know they use anti-lag to keep boost off throttle. Change the ignition to near-TDC exhaust and fuel slightly before it. Killer on the turbo, but keeps it spooling at high-boost.

I get 4-6psi by just revving the engine in neutral.

boost is about load. Dont rev it once...rev it over and over again and you will see you start to build some boost even in neutral.

do you have the stock AFM in place? do you have a test pipe?

My stock deverter valve became very loud after I got the maf put on my car. Before I never really hered much
