Passenger airbag defeat switch?
I just got my 951 ('89, modded, track car, but never raced... immaculate condition!) and I have a problem.
I love driving the car so much that I'd like to drive it on the days when I have to take my 2-year old son in to daycare in the mornings. Since the back seats of the car are unusable (seatbacks removed to accommodate the rollcage) I'd like to put the car seat in the front. The car has dual airbags, and they're the old "full-force" high-charge airbags to boot, so I'd definately have to add a passenger airbag defeat switch, probably a key-operated switch to prevent inadvertent operation.
Anyone know of a way, or have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Keith

Keef, you can defeat it by unplugging it, which will give you a trouble light when you hook the battery back up, which you will have to reset later or you can do a couple of things to remove the power from them but leave the ability for the controller to shut down the fuel in the event of an accident. Here is a good article with wire numbers, their purpose, and options. Thanks again for this article Tom.
