Default plug question

The plugs on cylinders 1 and 4 are getting kinda black. What does this mean? rich or lean? What would cause this condition on only 2 plugs?

Rich or burning oil, could have leaking injectors

Or clogged injectors.
Also check your distributor cap and rotor and plug wires.

Oily black or dusty black? I used to oil foul #4 and went to a colder NGK plug with less gap. All plugs look fine after 5K miles so far. Getting the injectors cleaned/rebuilt at Witchhunter was the best bang for my buck yet. Does the car run well to redline?

the plug wires are new, and the car doesnt run well to redline. It also only boosts 10 psi no matter how the mbc is set.
