What did you guys use for clearcoat? Is there something that can be found at Home Depot in the spray paint section?

I have found two selections for the silver paint, one plainly says silver lacquer and the other is metallic silver lacquer. Which did you use?

I used model paint and used the automotive aerosol clear from autozoo. It is a fun project that makes a subtle but nice accent.

I did these myself. I chose not to clearcoat incase they got chipped and I wanted to touch them up. Acrylic model paint and a toothpick worked the best for me.

The bigest part of making sure the paint stick is to remove any oil with acetone after you have finished cleaning. This will also take care of the "fisheyes" from any silicone. Pretty easy job to do, just time.
