I saw that after my post. So what makes it that powerful at 16psi? I do not get it.

I sprinkled some fairy dust over it and it ran on Shell V-Power pump gas. And maybe a contributing fact is that it isn't really worth running the stock turbo at higher boost.

I know most turbos with the same type of mods without the manifold and cup stuff make around 240 rwhp and 270 torque. That is amazing.

We were just above that and it could very well be differences in dynos, there is nothing magic about this car. It just runs well.

240 rwp with 11% loss would be 269 hp. Don't know if those extra 10 hp are "amazing", but still good numbers.

I bet the real differance, except for the engine being in good condition, is the Guru chips. I've analyzed several Guru chips and they are LETHAL for a non US car. They have race gas timing on the RoW and Swiss region mappings.

Too bad it appears it's a track car with sustained high loads...Good thing he's running V-power though!

I ran these chips in my car at higher boost and almost all track use with no ill effect. When replacing the headgasket that I thought was going south it was undamaged. And I was using lower octane since 99 wasn't available at the time.
