Default Airbag light reset - can't find molex connector

Title pretty much says it - I'm going to try resetting my airbag and seatbelt lights with the Clark's procedure, but I cannot find the damn molex connector. I spent half an hour on my back looking around for this thing to no avail.

From what I've read searching the connector itself is white and should be just hanging behind the glovebox. Has anyone had to remove the glovebox to get at it? Or might it be hiding behind the wood panel in front of the DME/KLR?

Any help/suggestions appreciated.....

Yup, white about 1"x3/4"x1/4", 3 pin. It should be tucked behind the wood panel with the DME/KLR if it hasn't been used a lot.

Mine was attached to the top of wire bundle behind the glovebox. Took me a while to find it as well.

it helps to have a second person and a good stop watch or precise second hand. Took me and my wife three tries a couple of years ago but we got it.

Yeah, I've heard that. Got a couple obstacles (finding plug and making the reset 'tool') to overcome before that step though. Luckily the wife likes to work on the car too...

what year car do you have? IIRC, you ground the plug for 5 seconds(certian pin), off, on, off, turn key off - or something like that. Is it the 89 cars that have to have the reset tool, like the 968?

I was able to reset the light in my '89 using the ground, key, ground..... method. A length of wire stripped on both ends (grounded to the door striker plate) worked for me.

Oops - it an '87 951, so I should be able to use the procedure outlined on Clark's website. I remember that while doing some searching there was some debate about which cars needed the 'hammer' tool for reset. From what I remember all 968's do. The question was later about model 944's. I knew it shouldn't affect me, so I didn't dig deeper.

Yup, you don't need it. Mine's an 87 951 and I didn't need it.

OK, after searching for days I finally found that little bastard tucked up behind a big bundle of wires. No red cap as some have reported. I'm surprised how small the connector holes are - way smaller than I expected.

Does anyone know what size pin connector will fit in there, or has everyone just used bare wire?
