The reliaboost is designed to run with the cycling valve installed, hence why you need the KLR chip which is included in Guru's kit, where the same applies to lindsey racing chips, which includes the boost enhancer (again, designed to run with the cycling valve installed, and get's you both DME and KLR chips). Getting a MBC/EBC and eliminating the cycling valve, you do not need a KLR chip.

Whiskers, the dme board tin grows whiskers overtime which can short out your unit. Nasa lost two satellites because of this. Reno

I switched from APE Stage II chips to clear up the fuel curve. I figured that with all of Danno's praise with regards to chip tuning, I'd at least get a few more hp switching over.

I went from 247whp at 15.5psi on the APE chips to 242whp at 18psi on Guru's chip. The fuel cleared up and I gained torque, so I can't bitch and moan too much, and 5whp is splitting hairs because of condition variances, but really... I should have gained a solid 15-20whp. I was shooting for a minimum of 260whp and clearly didn't reach that.

Was your fuel curve VERY rich? mine is and my thoughts were the Guru chips would help with that as well. Might I ask, what other mods do you have to your set up?

I originally kept the CV while I had the 15 psi chip. Before I installed the 18 psi chip, I switched over to the late vacuum hose setup and eliminated the CV. Still using the reliaboost.

Guru chips are junk, and there's no customer support. Go with Vittesse.
