Help cant remove wastegate!!!

Default Help cant remove wastegate!!!

i took all 8 nuts off. However there are 2 studs that are sticking out of the exit side (looking toward the rear). does any one have have a right for this. I am clarks garage and nothing and i search but still cant take it off. Thanks

I cant remove the discharge pipe i cant side it off is there a trick. Pry bar is not helping!!

yeah but it didnt take out the ( 3 bolts) out. I am doing it the clarks garage way. Is the lindsey way better? would i need to get a gasket for the 3 bolt flange (inlet) pipe.

Yes, you need to take that three bolt flange off. It will allow you to rotate the inlet pipe to a point where you can slide the wastegate backwards. There is a crush donut in that flange which will definitely require replacing. This can be found on LR's Exhaust/misc page and IIRC costs ~$15. You should probably replace the three bolts and their nuts once you've removed them and Porsche charges an arm and a leg for them.

Yeah, i got the same bolts from a hardware store much cheaper, coated them with a hell of a lot of anti-sieze and 2 years later, they are good and rust free.

I had 3 bolts break off in my WG on the outward flange and it still wouldn't come out. I used a pry bar and all. A year later and it finally rattles loose. Some times they can get hot enough to weld themselves to flanges

yup it took me 5 hr in total to take it off. Tomorrow should be able to put. let see how that goes..
