well to answer Rick's question I am not using the right chips...at least I am pretty sure. When Andial built the engine they used the best turbo they could get back in 91 which was the 26/8 of the S turbo. They put in chips to match this turbo and their cam and other mods. But I changed the turbo to the 27/6 and changed the exhaust and wastegate so I dont think the chips are good for the new set up. I will buy the scivision 1.2 bar chips when they are avilable.
cas,
Only 10hp.....hmmmm....I suppose....I do intend to upgrade the injectors since i think I may be maxing them out......I suppose with the MAF and chips I will be able to run higher boost and that in itself will allow more power. If I can boost up to 18psi well that should put me well over the 300rwhp which is all I am looking for.

But shouldn't the dyno show a different power curve, even if not a big maximum power increase?
So even if the maximum power is only increased 10 hp, the power at an RPM lower than the peak (let's say 3500 or 4000) might show a more significant difference. right? or is the MAF less quantifiable and more "wow, this feels better"?

Well? Did anyone get their MAF installed and driven this weekend???
For anyone installing this kit, if you work very slowly and carefully, as Efren and I were, you can expect it to take about 1.5 hours.

Blueman,
I would say yes to your question, otherswise you wouldn't feel a difference. The low end should ramp up quicker. Moving from a stock airbox to my Huntley MAF made a definate low end increase. The top end increase came from adding boost and adjusting A/F as needed. Comparing driving my stock car to my MAF modified car is noticiable at off boost and low boost.
I would expect these kind of changes from the SciVision system. Possibly better due to technology advancments.
I'll bump the previous question. Can this system be used with a large Garrett style 3" inlet turbo? Is there some sort of adapter for the J-pipe? Stock turbo inlet is about 2".

Hey guys....just wanted to see if any of you ever got their cars dynoed and can show a difference. I installed my MAF today and went for a very nice long drive. I will probably have the car dynoed on Wednesday. I am waiting for some new 55# injectors so I might postpone if the injectors dont arrive in time.

OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I broke my MAF!!!!!
SO FRIGGIN STUPID......
I tucked the wires up under the airbox and i guess they came loose and touched the alternator and of course the baldes on the alternator chewed right through the wire.....car was acting crazy.......the story is in another thread but started taking things apart tonight and then I noticed the wires in the pic below........what a bummer.....the car was running beautifully......I normally only drive it on Friday to work but it felt so good I drove it to work this morning.....and then all hell broke loose.....well now I know why.....I hope Promax will be nice to me.......

yeah...probably not enough free wire on that one end close to the computer.....i guess it wouldnt harm anything now to open it up and see how much wire i can get. I already contaced ProMax and they are seeing what they can do.
So soldering the wires back together would work? That I can do.
