I geuss I overlooked the fact that they are not available in metric sizes, but here they are anyway:

Since I'm already playing the linking game, for anyone that needs hardware for a 46 mm, this is whats needed:

I don't think I need to wire. It looks like you guys are wiring the adapters to tial bolts on, and not the flange bolts. Since the 46 has no adapters, I think I should be ok with loctite and locking washers.

oh thats right, you can't link McMaster pages...
OK, start on the home page scroll down, close to the bottom, find the main category "Fastening and Sealing" In the list under this category, find Socket Head Cap Screws and click on it. From there I think you will be able to figure it out. For anyone that needs 46mm hardware dimensions, here you are:
4 stainless steel M8x1.25x20
4 stainless steel M8x1.25x26 (M8x1.25x25 is what I ordered)

I have driven quite a few miles and had not one bolt loose or fallen out.The wire is a good idea for not losing the bolts, but it wont stop the bolt from losing.. Thats why you have to go through a couple of heat cycles of retorquing. I used foot long pipe over the ratchet, and tighted the bolts that way. Those bolts must be on there more than a few FT-LBS.

yikes, you wont be happy if you break the bolt that way, carefully with that!

You have to have a feel for how much you are tighting, many years of doing that type of work. You have use common sense.

theedge can you please explain to me how does that type of safty wire kit works. I am very interested. in it. I want your input on it..

That kit works if you are using hexhead fasteners because the tabs wrap around the wrenching flats. It's a quick fix but not as mechanically secure as lock wire.

And obviously won't work on round headed fasteners.

What are you talking about? Have you ever used properly done safety wire? It's the ONLY reliable way to prevent bolts from both losing and loosening, which is why its mandated in any mission-critical industry.
