The other option to increase logging capability is to group similar voltages onto a rotary selector switch. This would give you as many inputs as you need (although only recording 3 at a time).
The WBO2 version A1 has a 1meg onboard logger that will capture about 10 minutes of run time. Much better than having the laptop in the car. If you are good with electronics, build and test your own. It's not very hard.

GPF - you might try a look at www.measurementcomputing.com - they might have something that you can use (no affiliation, I've just used their stuff in the past - it's realiable and easy to use).
