Hey what do people do with that connector hole near the compresor outlet, just put a bolt in it i guess.

Or have it "plugged" with a thermocouple (fast EGT sensor) and another one at the entry to the intake manifold to monitor the effectiveness of the intercooler.

Oh and btw, I am afraid that the heat wrap diaper is going to be a little itchy, but heck I guess that the intent is to make your new baby scream

hmmm nice laust, are these EGT sensors different from / more responsive than the air temp sensors that we use with MAFs / AFM.

Don’t know, but if I should guess, then these would be slightly slower than the MAF-AFM-MAT equivalents, but surely fast enough for monitoring purposes. As EGT’s they are claimed to be able to detect a single misfire.

I use these together with another 4 EGT’s for the header and a single switchable (analog) gauge to prevent my interior ending up as a 747 cockpit. Eventually I will use a dual display digital temperature gauge (with two 6-positen switches) to get simultaneous display of two signals and a good low temperature resolution.

out of curiousity, what have been your findings on the effectiveness of the intercooler using those sensors?
