Default Best boost gauge?

What gauge is considered to be the most accurate? I'm needing one and only want to buy it once.

Cheers

Any mechanical boost gauge will be far more accurate than the stock electrical one. I've used a $30 VDO for years, I just like it to closely match the rest of the gauges. I bought an Autometer for my Mini that was a little more expensive. I bought both at egauges.com, they have good selection and prices...

Electrical boost gauges are far superior to mechanical ones. The problem is they cost a lot. I have seen differences of over 3 psi offset on mechanicals. Even when there zeroed in perfect.

So the Autometer is not very good? Can anyone recommend a brand?

The autometer one works fine but doesn't really match the rest of the gauges. i had one but then went with a VDO one. I did it for the same reasons Andy did.
