Default Looking for a cone air filter setup for a 951

If anyone has one they want to get rid of, or if anyone knows of a source for one of these, I'd appreciate it. I'm mainly looking for the adapter plate from the airbox to a 3" diameter filter (I'd prefer a metal one that is paintable). Thanks!!!

You might want to check at your local Autozone, I have seen these adaptors there before.

Anyone? Anyone?

You'd think with all the debates about these things sucking in hot air, someone would have one they want to give up, or at least know where to get one. I'm gonna go by Autozone and Kragen again tonight, but I haven't seen them there before (small town, small stores = small inventory). I'll PM you sweanders.

They are on ebay right now for about $10 with a cheap cone filter. Do a search for porsche 944 intake.

I'm not gonna hack it up at all, Eyal. I plan on keeping the airbox as pristine as possible, and absolutely as stock looking as possible. You live in CA too, so you probably do have a good idea of what I'm up to .....

caster, are the adapter plates the same for the 944 N/A's as for our turbo's??? Is the shape of the AFM opening and the bolt hole locations the same for both? You're someone I've been looking for - someone who owns both!

biggles, could I bother you to send me a pic ot the adapter? Is is metal? Plate w/4 holes going to a 3" diameter openning (I've seen a plastic one that goes to a 4" openning - I'd settle for a black plastic one that will work). Thanks.

i just put the top half of the airbox over the filter.

unless you notice the ~1/2" kokeln purple adapter, it actually looks really stock.

that is, unless you know what you're looking for....

Should I be just a little more patient, John? (cat's out of the bag now, eh?)
