Default Boost Logging with SMT6

I'm planning to install a 3-bar MAP sensor (GM-compatible from MSD) this weekend to translate MAP into a 0-5V signal to the SMT6 so I can log my boost levels along with AFM, RPM, etc. Anyone do this and any pointers? I have the sensor ($58 from Summit) and I know I need to rig a 5V reference voltage supply - a 7805 regulator takes care of that... looks like a piece of cake... but then this is a 951, so anything's possible

If you email me the chart for psi vs. volts I'll show you how to hook it up..

Here's a website with all the info. There's a link on this page to an Excel spreadsheet that provides the "PSI-to-Volts" table.

http://hhscott.com/93tmv/3-bar_map.htm

It basically reads 0V at -14.70 psi and 5V at 29.4 psi and is linear in between.

The MAP sensor was an OEM part on the 1989 Firebird Trans Am 3.8L Turbo V6. I picked one up at Summit Racing - MSD PN 2313, $53.88, for anyone else interested.

John, it's just a matter of feeding the output signal from the MAP sensor into the AMP signal wire on the SMT6, right ?

Brad, the reason I asked you to email me directly is to explain this procedure in private. As you know, many people (not you) are picking up SMT6 on the market, and I do not intend to provide them with free information/support. You as a Vitesse customer, I will be glad to offer you the support.
