Ever think about piecing together your own pipes from ebay?

I think the above pretty much settles that. The post I put up is a repost from Brandi on their board.

How many people are in on the group buy? I want to know what kind of discount I will be getting if I get in.
Thanks

Let the buyer beware on these Lindsey hard pipes. My set arrived covered with scratches and dings--one even had a piece of tape on it that said "fix me"--but when I sent them back I was charged a "re-stocking fee"! Interesting way to treat a long-time customer--or should I say former customer.
I ordered a set of the polished stainless pipes from SFR--and am very pleased. The quality is much higher than the Lindsey pieces--the welds are artwork--and the fit and finish are top shelf. If you want pipes--and they really do finish off the engine bay nicely--give Tim a call at SFR. BTW--I have no affiliation--except that I'm a very satisfied customer.

I find it very difficult to believe that Dave L or Mike L would treat a customer like that, I'll check on that for you today. What's your name?

SFR's pipes are $325 and they charge $100 (!) for polishing, so there is a considerable price difference.
OTOH SFR is a RL sponsor.......

I just got a set in about 6 months ago because I sold my older ones to a guy who also bought the old Kokeln intake. My pipes were flawless.

Ski--believe what you like, I'm simply posting my experiences. Forgot to mention, it also took LR 2 months to refund the purchase price minus the 25% "re-stocking" fee.

Like I asked, do you have a name - pm me if you want, otherwise I'd say you're a banned member under a new name. With a pc of tape - fix me - on a new product, I just find this hard to believe that you were not offered a new set.

This is the first I've heard of LR doing shady deals. Every last one of my inqueries/purchase experiences have been top notch and met 100% satisfaction of THIS customer. And I have high expectations.
