In an effort to find a 3 bar FPR this weekend for the 951, I am curious if anyone knows what cars originally came with the 3 bar FPR that people use on the 951. I understand it is Bosch part 280.160.249. It looks like that is the OEM regulator on a 89 or 90 BMW 525i. Anyone know for sure or know any other car that used that regulator? I figure that's my only shot at getting a local parts place to find one for me.

I searched the following link: Bavarian Motorsport with the part number you listed. It returned a FPR with a part number 0 280 160 226. Don't know if it's the same.

According to the Porsche '89 Service information book I have, the '89 944 NA used the 3 bar FPR. It calls it 3,8 Bar but says test pressure with vacuum is 3.3 plus or minus .2. No part number is given.

Thanks guys, I think I found one at a local auto place -- told them to look for a 89 BMW 525i FPR and they pulled up the Bosch 0.280.160.249 part.
The handheld vacuum pump is a great tool BTW -- great way to find unsuspected leaks.
