I didn't realize they segmented the car when they determined cd.

All of these are good Cd numbers but there are several sedans that are better. IIRC the Lexus 400 series and I think even a BMW sedan or two are under .30. The automakers have done some good work over the twenty years since our cars were designed but in 1986 I don't know if there were any which were better.

I gave David at Promotion a call today and he said that,"the coefficient of drag increase is offset by the fact that you can use the new mesh grill to cook hot dogs on."



The only benefit of a bumper like that is if you use a significantly larger intercooler, as you stated.
