Brake pad wear sensors?
On an 89 Turbo S, are the brake pad sensors the same on the front and rear? www.autohausaz.com shows the sensors for the rear only but I thought they were the same..
Also I need new pads for street and occasional track use. I'm looking for pads around $100 or less, so I'm looking at Ferodo pads from GPR.
I'm also looking at Porterfield R4-S, but I dont know a supplier that sells them.
Any other suggestions on pads or parts places?
Is $106 a decent price for new rotors?
Sorry for all the noob questions, but I *am* still a noob I've been searching and reading threads for the past few hours too but it seems there's no real concensus.

Get the pads from Porterfied direct:
Porterfield Enterprises
1767 Placentia Avenue
Costa Mesa, CA 92627
949-548-4470
In my opinion, best pads around. I was just there today!
The parts list shows the same part number for both front and rear wear sensors.
Hope this helps,
Chuck

The sensors fit to the pad the same the cables may be different lengths. I get 928 ones cheap (there is a supplier here does them for around $1 each) and cut and join them.

You are on your way to enlightenment, now you just have to work out who to trust!

I use a street pad on the street and track pads (Hawk blues) for the track. Hawk also makes a street/occasional track pad. Its either the HP S or HP plus. I don't bother with sensors.
