Default 18x10 ET40 rear wheels, yea or nay?

Have em on the car now, 951S (factory rolled rear fenders) with 265-35-18 tires. Getting some rubbing. Not sure what my alignment specs are, and it's winter now so the car is somewhat hibernating.

However, I'm concerned I won't really be able to run these wheels if I aggressively drive the car.

I need a definitive yes, they fit, no they don't fit so I can go back to the shop I bought em from and resolve this...

No, those won't work. The offset you need for that size is a ET65. I'm running 18x10 hollow spokes with 285's in the rear with no issues at all with the 65mm offset.

No they will not fit! You will need at least a 62-65mm off set to run up to 295s in the rear.

Agree with the above. 40 is too little offset. Around 56 is ideal. 65 is bit too much. My 285's rub on the inside with 10 ET65 wheels. I run a tiny spacer to push them out, but would use a bigger one if I had longer studs.

OK, thanks. I've talked to the shop and they're hunting for another set of wheels for me. Next question, did the turbo tech wheels come in a hollow spoke arrangement in the narrow body 65mm offset?
