Fuel return line leak
My new 89 951 has been leaking fuel since I bought it 2 weeks ago. I got under the car last week and saw that it was the fuel line from the fuel filter to the hard line going to the front of the car.
I got the part from 944online (and since they're in Florida and I'm in San Diego it took over a week to arrive) and this morning I go to install it and find that it's not the line that is leaking! ARGH This is the line that was leaking:
The rubber line from the return line to the top of the fuel tank.
So this morning I ordered it from 944online and paid for next day air shipping. $44 shipping on a $35 hose. I just really want to drive my 951 next week.
So now I have a few questions:
1. Any advice for bleeding fuel pressure before I change these hoses and the fuel filter?
2. Is there a parts place closer to California that sells a lot of the little OEM parts that aren't normal maintenence items?
3. Can someone send me a copy of the Porsche PET and the 951 manual on a CDROM? I'll gladly give you money for shipping and you time
Thanks

To bleed some of the fuel pressure down pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car. I think pelican parts is in cali and ive had good luck getting just about everything i cant get locally there.

I looked on Pelican's site and they dont have the hoses listed, should I have called them too?
