Default Where to buy a VAT sensor

Hey guys, where would be the best {cheaptest} place to buy a vane air temp. sensor for my MAF?? Is it very difficult to fit my Autothority MAF with one of these??

The easiest thing to do is look on Ebay for a cheap , used VAF.
Then swipe the temp sensor from it.
Drill a hole in your MAF pipe and mount the temp sensor in a bed of
epoxy.
Then wire it in.

Tiz what I did for my Huntley MAF. Some say you'll get double temp compensation but I found it far easier to tune (and hold a tune) with the sensor wired in rather than leaving it up to the ARC-2 only.

It does make a big difference.
90 degrees or 20 deg... I start fine, idle fine and runs great.

Do I have to run the wires to my VAT all the way from the DME, or are there wires under the hood that I can splice them into??

wires into the existing AFM harness
1 - Temp Sensor
2 - VAF Output
3 - 5V Reference
4 - Ground
you u are replicating the temp sensor integrated into the stock device.

Replacement part for the air intake thermister (NTC1) is NTC-202 from Jameco. Cost is $0.59 each.

Hello, I finally got ahold of an air intake temp sensor and there are 2 wires coming out of it. Are one of these wires the ground or do they both need wired to the green wire on the harness??

I actually took it out of a Hyundai airbox, but I figure it will work just fine once I fit it into my MAF j-pipe.....I'm sure you could find a cheap one on ebay

How do you know Hyundai uses a 2K Thermistor? I guess the 59 cent cost of a new one is too much.

Maybe I should just go with the thermistor...beab951, so I drill a small hole, use epoxy to hold it into place, then wire one part to the green wire and one to the other to the signal ground wire?? Or am I on the wrong track now?
